“A Swiss man has become the first person to fly solo across the English Channel using a single jet-propelled wing” We’ve seen it in the movies: Rocketeer, Buzz Lightyear, Iron Man. Now Yves Rossy has flown across the English Channel in one.

Ever come upon a piece and wondered which street artist has done it? This project called NEXTWALL in Hamburg, the grafitti has code on it that when you take a picture with your phone’s camera it then can send info back to you telling the artist, the name of the piece, related videos etc. In some cases this could be too much information.

Sen. John McCain’s senior domestic policy adviser said Tuesday that the BlackBerry mobile e-mail device was a “miracle that John McCain helped create.” Hmmm. There is also something on a mac or pc choice in the article.
Digital visionary rock star CEO of Apple Computers, Steve Jobs, does a keynote to introduce the legendary “1984″ Superbowl ad for the introduction of Macintosh in this video from 1983. Anton Wirjono’s Sony TG-1 arrived. This camera is the smallest 1920×1080 full HD video camera on the market and it also takes 4 megapixel stills. Full HD in a small good looking machined titanium finished body. It is small enough to take with you everywhere yet has a nice firm grip to it. We would like to spend some time to say farewell to a person that inspired us in our quest for a universal truth. He is sci fi legend & one of the most renown futurist of our time Sir Arthur C. Clarke.
He died recently on the 18th of March in his adopted home of Sri Lanka.
Needless to say 2001: A Space Odyssey which he co-wrote with Stanley Kubric, is one of our favorite movies ever. It woke us up to artificial intelligence & also our existence in this universe. We followed Arthur C Clarke’s British television series in the late 70’s or early 80’s called Mysterious World religiously, which discussed everything from the Loch Ness monster to UFO’s.
Last December on his 90th birthday he passed along three wishes: “for ethnically divided Sri Lanka to find lasting peace, for the world to embrace cleaner energy resources, and for extraterrestrial beings to “call us or give us a sign.”
Thank you for the inspiration…
